Pullman, WA- Week #11

Man I saw those pictures of those tornadoes!! Elder and Sister Jones showed me some of the pictures in the area! I saw the football one on Facebook, i saw that was clearfield too so it was awesome!! Man it looks like our backyard is trashed now!! still looks good though huh? 😂 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ITS ABOUT TIME THEY PUT IN THE TWINS!!!!!!!! You have no clue how much that made my day!! Im so happy for them I'm so pumped!!! Oh yeah i have not been good at telling you guys the missionary work that actually goes around here for me huh? 😂 Anyways we are teaching this guy named Devin he is solid i mean so golden and solid!! He was a self referral on Mormon.org and the sisters in my district picked him up and met with him. So they found out that he was in the YSA so they passed him off to us! So its been real fun getting to know Devin hes seriously so funny and Cool!! But we have him on date for Baptism on the 15th of October!! Yeah thats like in 2 weeks!! Im so excited!! I will probably be the one doing the baptizing too because Ive been there with him this whole time since the beginning!! and his whole family arent members either so we will just see what happens with that! Even if im not the one doing the baptizing hes getting baptized anyways so thats so awesome and good im so pumped!!! Just this last lesson with him he asked Elder Lundberg how personally we got an answer from god on how the book of mormon is true and how the church is true! And i just told him that everyone is different and God knows us individually so the way i get answers to prayers is different on how you get your answers. So you will just have to look and keep finding for yourself but i still told him my experience and the spirit was really felt in that lesson it was just awesome!! Then our good buddies in the terre view ward had a baptism on saturday and we invited devin to come to that baptism! and he loved it and it got him excited to be baptized i think so we are just so excited to see where it goes from here!! And the Other person we are teaching her name is Meghan! and Elder Tsang and I met her a while ago at church! I know crazy at church by herself so she is also so so soooooo golden!! we have her on date for baptism too on November 25th! so thats outside of 6 weeks so we cannot count her on date technically! but im still so excited for her!! So that is basically our whole week! A whole lot of walking thats for sure! We dont teach a whole lot of people but i still love it here!! It really is so much fun! Ill get you a pick of the 4 Elders in our house and ill make a video tour of it too!! You will get that next week though!! Man hopefully you guys have an awesome killer week!! Pullman, WA- Week #10

What a week! I mean what a week! It has been a great week this week just chuck full of so much fun and a bunch of craziness!! Craziness you say oh i will tell you why it was crazy! So Elder Tsang has been Transferred up to Spokane! I woke up Tuesday morning thinking i was staying in my great apartment but nope!! That does not happen I ask Elder Tsang "Hey you like packing?" he responds and i respond back "man sucks to be you!" Literally 2 seconds after i say that we start getting a call! The Zone Leaders were calling and the conversation went something like this. "Elder Scott Guess what? Youre moving! and you have an hour and a half to pack!" Gosh dangit so i get up and start packing! Thats what i get for making fun of my companion i guess. Stinking Heavenly Father always playing games with me! Its all good now I live in a house with 3 other Elders and it is so much freaking fun!! Elder Lundberg (my new companion) is pretty much the funniest guy! We just have so much fun together and we just know how to make things fun!! We enjoy playing pranks on the other elders in our house and this will ever be the only time i hear this phrase "Quit Tacking my stuff on the ceiling!" yep you heard that right we kind of enjoy tacking the other elders stuff on the ceiling its pretty much the funniest thing ever!! Dont worry we take it down right after! Seriously we just have too much fun in this house! The Campus life is just so much fun we just go around talking to people and just have some fun teaching this gospel to people its just the greatest ever!! I really feel like i have grown a lot over this last week! Just learning a lot more as i go and having some fun while we do it! We read a talk as a companionship from Jeffery R. Holland talking about the mission and it was something that i really needed to hear! We talk about that we will only be missionaries for 2 years or 18 months but the mission is a new lifestyle! You should just say that you only have 2 years to be a missionary! you will be a missionary for the rest of your life even though you wont be wearing the cool name tag! I can't remember what else he said in the talk but it was really exactly what i needed to hear to motivate me to do the work!! I really do love this gospel so much! It honestly makes me so happy when i live it! I know it to be true for sure! If i didnt i would for sure not be out here teaching about it! I love all of you guys and thank you for your support and your prayers this week its been awesome!! Love all of you and I will hear from all of you next week!! PEACE SEE YA IN 2 ✌😂

Yeah go Cardboard Logan man he looks so good!! 😂 That is seriously so crazy that Josh is now gone and hes chillin in Guatemala now!! man it felt like he had forever until he left but now hes gone and im like 2 months old on this mission!! Thats so crazy to think!! My talk was awesome i was flying under the radar until transfers came but we ended up getting sisters into the area too!! I actually got kicked out of the apartment i was living in to make room for the sisters!! Yeah crazy i know! so if you sent anything there i have not gotten it! My new address for this transfer is

So yes that means i am in a house now baby!! I actually live in a 4 man house with 3 other Elders its really so much freaking fun!! Elder Lundberg and i like to play pranks on the other 2 Elders like we tack some of his stuff on the ceiling and its just so funny!! That will forever be the only time i hear the phrase "Quit Tacking my stuff on the ceiling!!" Its seriously so much fun and so funny to be living in this house with these elders its so great!! I'll make a tour video and send it over next week so you can see how big this house is!! its pretty big! But Elder Lundberg and I have way to much fun! we are always laughing and making jokes and just having a good time on campus! its so much fun! It makes a big difference when you have a companion that talks and laughs and jokes a lot compared to one that doesnt do it that much! its so funny!! Yeah so the campus life is so much fun!! Yes i am taking over this area and i have to bring a whole lot of people up to speed with everything! i was really really scared at the start of this week! but it turns out all good in the hood this week so we just have a lot of fun!! Football needs to get their crap together honestly!! They honestly should have beat sky view if they would just put a quarterback in that knows what he is doing!! oh wait they do have one but they dont give him a shot at all! that kind of bugs me but its all good im not playing anymore! 😂 Man oh man looks like they had a whole lot of fun at homecoming!! I love those two pictures of Ayden and Jaret they make me laugh and they look so old for some reason!! I'm glad that they had a great time partying it up!! That is a great show too they picked a great movie!! Remember the Titans is always a classic! That is one thing i miss is watching that constantly!! I really like teared up when i was reading jaces post! that was really heartfelt and i felt the love from them and all of my friends! it really is crazy that he is the only one home now! I loved reading that post im actually going to print it off so i can have that forever it was really awesome to read that! Yeah i sent Trent an email and he sent me one last week and sounded like he was doing awesome but i just sent him one hopefully he doesnt end up going back home until the 2 years are up! Pullman,WA- Week #9

You can probably guess what this email is about according to the subject.... i am pleased to say that I AM STAYING WITH THE YSA WOOHOO!!! yeah its going to be so much fun! i honestly thought i was going to be transferred this transfer but no they decided to transfer Elder Tsang instead of me!! Yes i will be getting a new trainer and his name is Elder Lundberg and a funny story i already know Elder Lundberg he was the Elder that took me fear busting my first day out in the field! yeah so that story of that guy on my first day who was giving me the bird and saying not so nice stuff to us yeah Elder Lundberg was the one with me so thats way cool!! In other news with Elder Tsang leaving that means im taking over the area!! I mean what how does that happen?!?!? i dont feel ready to take over an area yet its so crazy ive only been out 1 transfer and im already taking over an area?!? im terrified!! i dont think i can handle it! its all good though because i know that the lord will be with me every step of the way! He will not leave me hanging out to dry by myself and he does not want to just see me fail! so he will be there with me the whole time! That is really comforting to know that for sure! I know that it is the same for all of you back at home! The lord is always with you and he puts trials in your way because he knows what you can do and he knows that youre strong enough to over come them! He will be there for you always and i know that if you turn to him he will help you out through anything!! I can testify that to you for sure!! ive seen it happen while ive been out so i know it works!! But time really does fly by ive already been gone 2 months thats so crazy!! before you all know it youll all be at my homecoming just like that!! 😂 but thats too soon to talk about that!! Anyways that has basically been my week nothing to spectacular or anything!! I love you all so much you are all in my prayers i love you all!! Peace see you all in 2!! Yep dont worry mom we did get our transfer calls yesterday and im staying with the YSA Ward for another 6 weeks so we are good!! 😂 either way if i was getting transferred i would have packed the food box with me anyways so it would have come with me either way!! Thank you so much for the pictures they are seriously the greatest things ever i love them so so much they really make me feel so much better you dont even know mom! Yeah i know time really does fly by so fast! People usually say that your first transfer is your slowest and mine really flew by so so fast! so if that is my slowest that means my mission is going to go by so much faster than i thought! but some days are still really hard but i feel that it is getting easier and im getting more used to being away! but it will be fine for the next 22 months im still out here so i wont have to feel this way when i get home!! 😂  Man i was so excited for that VW bus you have no clue but it sounds like there is still some work that is needed on it and i feel really bad! so does that mean that Jaret is driving my car for right now? but i trust him with my car more than kennah for sure!! 😂 Gosh dangit!! it sounds like they were supposed to win that game!! i really want them to give Jaret a shot!! they need to at least give him a chance to do something but i dont know the stinking coaching staff needs to get it together!! i did hear about the Utah and BYU game i actually got a email from mike talking about my last group email subject! he told me to clarify Washington State Cougs next time so people didnt get the wrong idea of me going for BYU at the beginning of rivalry week!! 😂 yeah i heard it was really crazy though!! and its crazy that josh and garrett leave tomorrow thats so crazy and so freaking fast for sure!! time really does fly by so fast!! It really does sound like you have your hands full with this new calling and it sounds like a whole lot of work!! some more things to stress about!! really?? dang everyone is selling or putting up their houses for sale thats so crazy so many changes for sure why so many gosh dangit!! Mom i honestly feel the same way! i really miss talking too its the one thing i miss the most is talking with all of you!! i love you all so freaking much you have no clue!! oh and to answer your question yes i did read the book of mormon all the way through this transfer (which is 40 days) I did complete it and it was really such a cool experience!! this transfer we are reading it through again but this time only 5 pages a day and we are looking for the names of christ throughout the book of mormon! and if you start on Wednesday the 14th then you will finish on christmas day and that will be our gift to our savior this year! so i challenge that you guys do it too!! so anyways thats my week and its been great!! Love you so so soooooo much mom keep me updated with everything like you have been! love you see you next week!! 😘

Pullman, WA- Week #8

Made a trip to the temple this week!

Hey my good friends, Family, Acquaintances, Mere Classmates, Dogs, Cats, And whoever else reads this wonderful group email presented to you by none other than yours truley Elder Scott! 😂 but this week was a pretty eventful week if i do say so myself! So P-Day last week after i was done emailing a few other Elders in my District we went and played some good ole basketball! i would love to say i balled up those scrubs but i didnt! its been like a solid few months since i last played didnt know how rusty i was!! 😂 but it was good to be on the court again!! but anyways other things that happened this week, We had the great opportunity to go to the temple! it was seriously so so sooooo awesome i have missed going to the temple! being from Utah i really took temples for granted for sure! you know i could have driven 15 min north and gone to ogden or drove 15 min south and went to bountiful! it was seriously so easy to go to the temple whenever i wanted but i never did but now i know the importance of temples now for sure! the Spokane temple has one of the most beautiful Celestial rooms that i have ever been in! it was so beautiful and awesome to be in the temple again! i really do feel gods love while im in it! i love that feeling for sure! So moral of the story is go to the temple gosh dangit youll feel real good whenever you go! 😂 but something funny that happened this week was on thursday Elder Tsang and i were walking campus like we usually do and we were approached by some college looking students! and they said to us that they wanted to take us to lunch! I didnt believe it and said something along the lines of "no way! no college student ever comes up to us and offers to pay for our lunch!" but they were dead serious! and here is the kicker they were Catholic Missionaries!! 😂 that just seriously made my day so much better it was so funny! so they ended up taking us to Panda Express and buying us food for the day! it was so good and it was just funny! but the first Washington State football game was on Saturday too! man campus was popping with tailgaters and football fans! it was so awesome! just smelling that concession stand food ohhh man how ive missed that smell but even though we couldnt be there to watch it we found a nice balcony sneak a peak at a play or 2! 😂 It was Elder Tsangs first exposure to football and he said he liked watching it! it was really intense and cool but it was good to see some football again! so anyways that was my week hopefully you all will have great weeks this week! and i will see/hear from all of you later!! hahah Love you all!!
