Spokane, WA- Shiloh Hills Ward- Week #16

HEY WHATS UP HELLO EVERYONE BACK AT HOME!! Thank you everyone for reading this on your mobile device or your computer which ever works better for you!! 😂 Shiloh HIlls is a pretty awesome ward!! I really do love it down here? or up here? or in here? I dont know take it how you want! hahah but anywho its been a pretty good week! a lot of getting used to! Now i actually have to go find people to teach they wont just be chillin on a bus waiting to get off or just walking campus or any of that easy stuff now its real finding stuff now! So thats been something to get used to! Another thing is that not being in the YSA anymore i actually get fed!! WOOHOO!! We basically had a dinner every night this last week and it was pretty awesome!! Then on Wednesday i think it was Elder Dastrup and i were walking to go visit a potential investigator named Mitch but when we got there Mitch was no longer living there! We met the guy and his name is Chance! He was pretty interested in what our message had to say so he invited us in and to make a long story short we found a new investigator from it!! WOOHOO!! Anyways i thought that it was way awesome! and that my first week here was a blast! A lot more biking though! But im still loving it! Something that has dawned on me today as im writing this that its halloween tonight! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!! but i cant trick or treat! but that also means that it November! Im about to hit 4 months thats crazy! I do not feel like i have been gone that long!! that also means that im turning 19 this month!! I also do not feel like i should be 19! I feel like i should be 13 or 14 not on a mission though for sure! so its pretty crazy!! But Elder Dastrup and i get along pretty well! We quote a lot of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre! Its really funny!! and he is also pretty quiet while Elder Lundberg was the complete opposite! So thats something that i am trying to get used too! Its still going to be a really fun transfer!! Im excited to see what it has in store for me!! Oh and yesterday Elder Wilson and I (being the new missionaries in the Area) had to give a talk in sacrament!! It was supposed to be on one of the missionary discussions and mine was on the Plan of Salvation! It just strengthens my testimony to know that God does not forget about us and that he has a plan for us! That he also knows what we are going through and that he will not let us go through things by ourselves! Times might get rough but our savior knows what we are going through! So whenever we can we should turn to the Lord for help and guidance! Thats my testimony! I love being a Missionary its so hard sometimes but really rewarding its all worth it!! I love it I love all of you and I just want to give one last shout out to Mike Zaugg for making my whole Mission by finding me! Via telephone!! Youre Awesome Mike ill be sure to give you a nice pat on the back when i get home!! Talk to you all next week!! :)

Dear Mom,

DANG!!!! It looks like you all had a butt load of fun this past week man!!!! This is always my favorite time of the year!! I love this time for real!! All the pumpkin pie that you all would give me because i love it a lot!! Football! Man its just a great time to be alive for sure!! Hey its already November mom! Im knocking on 4 months and i cant believe i have been out that long!! It really doesnt feel that long!! And i turn 19 this month too!! I honestly dont feel like i should be turning 19 either! I feel like i should still be 13 or 14 and not on a mission either its so crazy!! YESSSS!! Zaugg did get ahold of me!! It was so hilarious!! It wasnt even our phone that he called! So my area Shiloh Hills is split into 2 so we have another set of Elders here so Elder Dastrup and I are in Shiloh B (which is the south part of the area) and Elders Wilcox and Wilson are Shiloh A (which is the north part duh) and he called Shiloh A's number!! Luckily we were all at a dinner appointment when he called i heard Elder Wilcox talking to someone on speaker and i just hear is there an Elder Scott there? Elder Wilcox said yes there is but he is not my companion. And he says back can i talk to him? *Elder Wilcox hands me the phone. I say Hello this is Elder Scott. Zaugg says back this is Elder Logan Scott right? At this point im terrified because i have no clue who this is and how someone knows my first name out here!! 😂 Anyways i say yes this is who is this? He says back its just me Mike Zaugg! I basically lose it!! I was not expecting to get a call period let alone a call from Zaugg!! It was so awesome though to hear his voice or a voice from someone at home! He wanted to see if we wanted some dinner but we just got out from eating dinner so we had to decline sadly 😖 Still it was so freaking crazy mom!! I loved every second of it talking to him!! 😂 Anyways Elder Dastrup and I get along pretty great hes pretty funny and we quote a lot of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre its pretty funny!! He is also pretty quiet and Elder Lundberg was the complete opposite so that is something that i am for sure getting used too!! He is still way funny and cool ill send a pic over in a second! He has also been out for almost a year now! He will hit his year mark in December so pretty close!! So Elder Wilson you already know him he served around me last transfer too he was in my district all 3 of my transfers so far he was one of the ones in Colfax so we also came out together too so we legit have not separated out whole missions!! 😂 Elder Wilcox though he is really funny!! I like him a lot! hes a really good friend and we see the other Elders like every single day and its so funny everytime we are with them! Its just a party up here and its really a nice ward!! Yesterday Elder Wilson and I (since we are the newbies in the ward) had to give a talk in sacrament!! It was on one of the Missionary Discussions that we teach people!! So mine was on the Plan of Salvation and Elder Wilsons was on the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The bishopric wanted the other 2 lessons to be taught because everyone always hears about the Restoration! So it went really well and before we talked we stood up on the stand and sang with the Ward Choir! It was so funny we werent planning on doing it before but we decided right when they were lining up! It was so funny!! So yeah that was my week basically!! I miss having all this Fall fun with you my family but its all good youre all missing out on the real logan scott at your parties!! 😂 But with the package i got a call from the mission office saying that it has come in but i have yet to get it so im getting it in the next day or so hopefully!! Thank you so much mom youre the freaking best i love you so much!! Pics are coming in a sec!! :) 

Spokane, WA- Shiloh Hills Ward - Week #15

Ill give you all 3 guesses on what this email will be about! But the first 2 dont count... 😂 yes Transfers has come and gone again here in good ole Pullman! But all good things must come to an end... Yes i will be leaving Pullman this transfer i am going up to the Spokane area the stake is called the Mountain Spokane Stake in the Shiloh Hills Ward! I am really excited actually!! So Elder Lundberg tells me (since he has served up around that area) that it is really ghetto!! So for those of you who know me really really well know that i wanted to go to the ghetto for my mission (because D Scott @ Large served his mission in the ghetto for sure in Detroit) so i wanted that and now im getting it and im so excited!!!! So i will let you all know what my new address is when i find out for myself!! 😂 My week this week was pretty awesome!! The highlight of my week though happened on saturday!! I have another story to tell after this one too though! 😂 So LDSSA (LDS Student Association) on campus had a leadership training and Elder and Sister Jones (Senior Missionaries in the area) invited Elder Lundberg and i to come because they thought it would be good to have the Elders from the ward to be there with the members and developing trust! We ended up going to the ropes course on campus to do this trust thingy and it was seriously so much fun!! So Worth it for sure!!

another really funny story that happened this week so we went on exchanges with Colfax so Elder Francis came over and we served in the YSA this last wednesday! So we were riding the bus and there was a cement truck blocking the road on where the bus was supposed to go! The bus driver yelled back and said they didnt want him to go the normal route and to go back the way he came. So we were fine with it but he also yelled back that i need someone to back me! So Elder Francis and I jump up and say we will back you!! So the moral of the story is that we can use backing up someone not just for missionaries but we can use it in real life!! So the moral of the story is that backing is helpful in your everyday life!! it was really funny though an experience that i will never forget!! So that has been my week hopefully you all get a kick out of this email thats kind of my goal here!! but its been real and its been fun but it hasnt been real fun! PEACE SEE YA IN 2!!!

Logan and his District

Yep so really it is a really really REALLY long story! 😂 But first off i want to start off with what i want to tell you first then i will send a separate email!! 😂 But yes i am indeed getting transferred i texted the other Elders in the Area right now to see if there is an address for the house or apartment that i will be going to so i will get that to you shortly!! 😂 I am being transferred up to the Spokane area into a ward that is called the Shiloh Hills ward! and Elder Lundberg tells me (since he has served up there) that it is really ghetto!! Im so excited mom!! Ive wanted ghetto in my mission this whole time and now im going to get it! man im excited!! 😂 But i will tell you an address later! NO i had no clue that Ayden was Jarets back up QB for the season thats so freaking awesome and hilarious at the same time!! Heck yeah im glad that both JV and Varsity ended with a win thats good to hear! Improvement from last season for sure!! They Tied my Junior season too with 2 wins! I did the math and my high school football record is 5-37!! that is downright terrible!! 😂 but its something funny to think about though! But yeah i was planning on sending off the "tie that binds" binder off to Trenton 2 weeks ago like i wrote the letter and everything but i forgot to send it off these last 2 weeks so im sending it off to him today!! Yes i have had a ton of fun with that binder!! Its so weird to think that its that time already to send it off to the next!! time flies by so fast!! But this week was really so much fun!! we had an LDSSA (LDS Students Association) Leadership training at a ropes course! So Elder and Sister Jones (Senior Missionaries in this area) invited Elder Lundberg and i to come because it  would be really good to get the missionaries involved with the LDSSA so we went and it was so much fun i will show you some pictures of them later! Pullman, WA- Week #14

This week wasnt too eventful it was actually pretty boring!! I dont have a lot to report on this week except that our on date that was supposed to be baptized on October 15th didnt happen because he didnt feel like he was rushing into anything! But hes still so solid!! Hes going to get baptized whether im here or not so im excited to see what happens with him hes so sick! Love that guy his name is Devin and hes basically the best!! but yeah thats my week sorry it was a pretty boring email!! I know I disappointed some of you!! 😂 But i got some sick pics though!! 😂

Dang you dropped a pretty big bomb on me right there with Joe! I wouldnt have ever seen that one coming! That is seriously so gosh dang sad! I almost started tearing up when i was reading those stories about Toshia and Joe! Man it was seriously a rough week for the people back at home! How are the Giacalone's handling it, are they ok? Dang thats seriously crazy!! Especially for Nick because the last time he saw his dad was before he went back out on his mission! Thats crazy my mind is seriously blown and i'm speechless right now! But all the songs that I sent you are all approved by the mission! A lot of the missionaries out here have those songs and so they are approved, we are good mom! hahah 

The twins really do go to Asylum every single year!! We all went last year! by we i mean I went with Aubrey, Jax and Aft came and so did Trent and Julia! Ayden and Jaret came too and brought their dates or whatever! 😂 I remember hating that place like no other to be honest!! It wasnt even fun mom it was the down right terrifying!! 😂 But with the baptism thing yeah the guy we were planning on baptizing that day fell off date. He didnt want to feel like he was rushing into anything so he felt like October 15th was too fast! So we will see when he gets back on date but i dont worry about him! hes super solid and hes going to get baptized whether im here or not! 😂 Yeah Elder Lundberg and I hope that we will both stay another transfer here together we have way too much fun so we will see what happens on Sunday!! 😂 Other than that this week wasnt to eventful nothing else really happened so that was my week and i know that jaret is loving his bus thats freaking awesome!! No pictures from Logan AGAIN!  I did warn him how boring his blog would be without pics....meanwhile enjoy a stalking pic I downloaded of his new house he now shares with 3 other elders.

Hey now people that read this good ole group email from yours truly ELDER SCOTT! and who also has the privilege to get 2 group emails today because you are all on my sisters SISTER SCOTT's group email also! and for those of you that are on my best friends ELDERS MOYES, SKIDMORE, AND PETERSON group emails also! Man mondays are just group email days but i know all of you that are on all 5 of our group emails your phone is going crazy!! But thank you for spending the time to read all that nonsense that just happened right there! I now know that you are committed to reading this email!! 😂 So anywaysthis week wasnt too exciting like we didnt teach a whole lot of people i learned a pretty good lesson for myself this week Even though we only taught 1 lesson this week we are still working hard! This week i learned that numbers dont mean a thing! Weve had a lot of 0 days this week and sometimes I think that we arent doing that much work but something the numbers dont tell us is how many miles that Elder Lundberg and i walked this week, How often did we get ignored when trying to tell someone about the gospel, How many times we even tried to start a conversation with someone, stuff like that! so i just learned even though we have 0 days it doesnt mean we are working hard! I know that we are trying our best down here and soon we will hopefully see it pay off! So its been a great eye opener to me people think that numbers mean a whole lot but i just learned that they dont! We shoudnt think of our investigators as numbers to make us look good we should be looking at them as our brothers and sisters that are ready and finally ready to take that next step! I just love to look at it that way more than anything else!! But Still even though we havent been having a lot of success as of late i know that it will pay off and its not going to take my spirit down or anything it will just make me stronger!! I really love all of you and all the support youve given me this far! I can't believe its already been 3 months thats nuts!! time really does fly by when youre having fun!! But Transfers are upon us again in the next week and a half or so! So we will see what craziness it will bring me this time around!! I love you all and hope you have a Killer week this week!! Man so much football!! I seriously miss watching it!! Thats the one thing that was seriously a habit to me that i didnt know until i left!! but you know thats still going to be there when i get home though so its all good!! 😂 I honestly hope the boys win out so they could get into the playoffs that would be so freaking sick!! But they seriously have to put Jaret in!! that would make it all the better honestly!! I know i know they are basically all country songs (Country has really grown on me 😂) but yeah they dont have to be hymns for it to be allowed!! Best news ever!! so a lot of country is allowed mom!! BEST DAY EVER!! Yeah Elder Lundberg has a lot of country on his USB and i listen to it a lot!! hahah yeah so i could actually listen to some real music out here still and its so amazing!! WHAT A BLESSING!! 😂 But if you have already sent off the package then thats ok i'll just send the USB back to you then we can do it over again! I guess it WAS allowed back a few transfers ago that you can get music from other Missionaries that youre serving with but they made a rule now that its not allowed anymore and kind of illegal and against the law!! So they told me now if i want any of their music im going to have to make a freaking list and send you my USB and the list then youll send it back to me with the songs on it and thats how it will have to be done for 2 years!! I know its a process!! 😂 Yeah so thank you so much for dealing with my silly requests and demands i know it could be a pain in the can but i know you love me so youll do it!! 😘 But anyways this transfer has been so much freaking fun and its gone by way way way too fast!! Elder Lundberg and i have way to much fun on campus!! I found some girl and we are really tight with her and i swear she is like the spitting image of Afton!! She looks like her (kind of) she plays soccer!, shes blonde, and she laughs at everything!! so she is a lot like Aft! so she is so funny and fun to hang out with!! I asked her to Tie dye one of my white shirts and she said she would do it because she is kind of a pro at tie dying! 😂 and shes dressing up as Lola Bunny from space jam for halloween so i told her we need to take a picture because you know i have my bugs bunny jersey with me here (but i dont wear it a whole lot 😂) so we will get that picture and youll see what she looks like shes so funny!! But Transfers are again like next sunday is when we will get our Transfer calls!! Not this sunday but the next so its already here!! And i honestly think Elder Lundberg and i have one more transfer here with each other! That would make it 3 Transfers here for me but thats all good the ward and campus is so much fun!! So sometime this week a member in our ward is taking us to buffalo wild wings and its going to be so awesome!! We went last friday but it wasnt the full experience!! so we are getting the full experience and we are going to spend all 50 dollars on that lunch  because we have one so close in Moscow and i dont know when ill be by another one for a while so we are Oinking out we like to call it!! 😂 But its been a way fun week youll be getting some pictures shortly but its been so awesome!! Pullman, WA- Week #12

Hey how is it going back in good ole Utah, or where ever else youre reading this from!! I had an experience this week that was pretty intense!  Elder Lundberg and i just finished watching the priesthood session on saturday at the institute building! We had an hour or so until we had to be back at the house so we decided to walk campus! Washington State was playing Oregon! at this time so we knew we would get some good street contacting around the stadium so we went there. There were some guys holding up picket signs doing something outside the stadium so we continued to walk. They came over to us and surrounded Elder Lundberg and I and started yelling somethings in our faces! I couldnt tell you what religion they were or anything. They just kept telling us that we were wasting our time, Jesus Hates us and hates what we were doing, Joseph Smith was not a Prophet hes a chump, The Book of Mormon is Evil and just stuff like that! So that was honestly the most evil feeling i have ever felt before in my life! (take it we just came from a very spiritual priesthood session) but this guy was looking at me straight in the eyes and yelling this stuff to me and to be honest this guy was the most evil looking guy i have ever seen! But we just told them thanks and we love what they are doing, and they continued to say "we hate you guys and we hate what youre doing!" That was a pretty intense experience for sure! Honestly they could have said anything to me and they would not shake my testimony of this gospel! I know it to be true and I love it so much!! I'm grateful that my beliefs got attacked like that pretty hard i would say but it was a good experience! I know that Jesus Loves me and i know he knows me personally and if they cant see that then i dont know what Jesus they believe in! but it was a good experience and i'm still excited to see what other great experiences i have this week! It was crazy i thought i was about to throw some hands but it wouldnt have ended to good! So that is my crazy story for the week other than that nothing else really happened this week! 😂 Conference was freaking awesome i loved every single talk that was given!! I felt like they all were for me and all of them had something that has helped me to get better this week it was so cool to see my prayers answered!! Sorry i got no pictures! Elder Lundberg and i are making a ball is life video and we are having one of the members in our ward edit it! so i do not have my camera right now and we will see how long it takes until i get it back! So when i explain things just use your imagination to picture it in your head! Sometimes it will seem cooler than how it actually was!! 😂 Love you all and ill hear from you next week!! :)

But hopefully Jaret doesnt hurt himself more that would not be good at all! I know Ayden is killing it though! They just need one chance in at Varsity!! But hey can i ask you a favor so we now are asked to bring our own temple clothes to the temple so is it alright that you send me some of my own? i need some! 😂 thanks mom and also a USB with a few more songs on it like "Glorious" By david archeleta, One day by: Mattisyasu? something close to that name, Brad Paisley Christmas (its getting to that time of year) and the best 2 years soundtrack? thanks mom and whatever else you think i would like on it music wise! But a USB would help a lot too i would buy one but i would see if you can get some songs for me on it too while im at it!! 😂 So i dont think i have anything else! sounds like life at home is doing good! thats awesome!!
