Coeur D'Alene, ID- Week #85

Hey Everyone!! Hows it going?!? I hope that it is going good for you all! Because It is going soooo good for me up here in good ole Idaho! πŸ˜‚ For some reason I still don't like saying that I am in Idaho! πŸ˜‚ Its probably a Utah thing! πŸ˜‚ Anyways this week was really good! Its weird to think that February is already over! Who knew that time could go by so freaking fast!! I know I didn't!! πŸ˜‚ Well really I don't even remember what happened this week! πŸ˜‚ I apologize if this email is a little short! πŸ˜‚ This week went by in a blink of an eye! Honestly not a whole lot changed from this week from last week! πŸ˜‚ Just know that I am still alive and still love being a Missionary! πŸ˜‚ Some cool things that happened this week was we have some Investigators we are teaching. Their names are Bryan and Fleur De Lys? (I don't know how to spell that for realz! πŸ˜‚) Anyways we had a lesson with them this week and Fleur De Lys speaks Tagalog and Bryan speaks English... How they communicate and understand eachother is beyond me! I could not tell you the answer to that one! πŸ˜‚ Anyways we had a lesson with them on Wednesday. We got Elder Javier (He is in the neighboring Zone next to us) He is from the Philippines and he can speak Tagalog! SCORE!! I ended up going on a Mini Exchange with Elder Robb (Elder Javier's companion) While Elders Mohler and Javier went to this lesson! Our Exchange was pretty fun! Its fun getting to know new people in the Mission! Its gotten to the point where I don't know anyone anymore! Everyone I know has gone home!! Starting from square 1 I guess! πŸ˜‚ Back to the point with Bryan and Fleur De Lys! πŸ˜‚ They taught them the Restoration and they loved it! WOOHOO!! They are both On-Date now for baptism for April 7th! YESSS! That is what I am talking about!! That makes 7 On-Dates for the Coeur d'Alene 2nd Ward!! This is the most work they have seen in a while!! Please Pray for us and the investigators that they will all go through and come to church! πŸ˜‚ we really need it! πŸ˜‚ We had Stake Conference yesterday and Melanie came!! WOOHOO!! That is a miracle in itself! We get there early to save a pew so our investigators don't have to sit in the overflow by all the screaming kids! We were supposed to have 4 Investigators come thats why we needed a pew! πŸ˜‚ Well we save the pew and this family with someone with a wheelchair comes in and we end up giving them our pew because church was about to start and we had no one there... We were a little sad that no one came so we gave them our pew. Then come to find out that Melanie shows up like 5 Minutes late and the people who took our pew ended up moving and the Zone Leaders took our spots! πŸ˜‚ We were a little bitter after that but what can you do but laugh! πŸ˜‚ so we ended up sitting in the overflow by all the screaming kids! πŸ˜‚ What a time to be alive right?? πŸ˜‚ Other than that the snow continued to fall and the ice keeps appearing and people keep falling down and I think its pretty funny! Hahah We were walking out of District Meeting and 2 Sisters in our District were walking to their car and one of them slips and immediately starts doing Snow Angels to save her dignity she says! πŸ˜‚ I thought it was the funniest thing to see! Then one of the other sisters was laughing at her cause she fell down then right after that she slips and falls! πŸ˜‚ Then the other sister gets up and starts laughing at her and then she slips! They were both slipping and falling for like 3 Minutes!! πŸ˜‚ I felt a little bad in the beginning but what could have I done?? I thought it was the funniest thing to watch! πŸ˜‚ don't worry they were ok! Well that was pretty much my week! We continue to find people to teach! We gotta show the Lord we are hungry! He will indeed feed us! πŸ˜‚ Miracles contine to come and the hand of God is indeed in his work! I have a sure Testimony of that! This is Gods work and he loves his children! Whether they be Tall, Short, Black, White, Green, or Orange! He loves us all the the same and he is always there for us! I know that to be true! I got nothing else to report on! Hopefully I will have better news next week! πŸ˜‚ I love you all so much!! Remember the ground hog didn't lie, Ice is made from Satan himself, God loves his children, The church is True, the book is blue, I love ending with that! πŸ˜‚ I love you all talk to you next week!! LOVE YOUUUUUUUU!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Š

Coeur D'Alene, ID- Week #84

A Mural Logan liked on the side of a thrift store

Hey whats up hello everyone and anyone that is worthy enough to be on this group email! πŸ˜‚ Little do people know all they have to do is ask me then I will put them on here! πŸ˜‚ Anyways what a week it has been! One crazy week I should say!! Completly Ca-Razy! I am sad to say that the Ground hog once again didn't lie about the weather.. I thought Winter was over but then all of a sudden it hit once again! It snowed like no other this week! It was not fun! Mostly because here in Coeur d'Alene our area is small enough where we can walk everywhere! Needless to say that we do not have a car!! πŸ˜‚ like yesterday was pretty miserable! The thermometer said that it was 19 degrees but it felt like 5.. Freaking 5 Degrees people!! That is far to cold!! It was freezing! Of course we had some appointments that we had so we thought we get to spend most of that cold day inside! What happens though? Oh yeah Satan decides to strike and laugh at us all of our appointments fell through yesterday! πŸ˜‚ It was not fun at all! My face was frozen cause of the wind and the snow constantly hitting me in the face! πŸ˜‚ I will have to say though I have a new found respect for the Pioneers! At one point we were walking to this one persons house and we found ourselves basically blazing this trail for other people! We were walking through snow that was to our ankles! I thought I was having a bad time, then I thought of the Pioneers that pulled handcarts through snow like that, some of them not even dressed for the weather, and some of them not even having shoes! Then I thought to myself that what I was doing wasn't even that bad compared to what they were doing way back when... It could always be worse.. It always could. Then a member picked us up cause he saw us walking through this weather and he didn't want us walking anymore! πŸ˜‚ good thing he did cause he took us to this Less Active Ladies house and she is a single woman, good thing he came so we could actually get inside the house! πŸ˜‚ God works in mysterious ways!! πŸ˜‚ Well this week wasn't too eventful I guess you can say that. The week started out pretty good then halfway through the snow hit then it was all over! πŸ˜‚ We are still working our butts off! We found 2 New Investigators again this week, their names are Bryan and Rosa! Rosa is actually Filipino and speaks Tagolag! Woah thats pretty neat right?? πŸ˜‚ We have a lesson with them on Wednesday so stay tuned for that! One a funny story we were walking to a Dinner that we had and we were walking on this trail, and our map told us to keep walking so we did, we get to where the map tells us there is an opening to get to these apartment complexes and we look and we see that there is no opening... Just a fence... We map it to see how far it is to walk back to the last opening we saw and come to find out it was a 30 Minute walk back... We had 5 Minutes to get to our Dinner! We finally decide that we need to hop the fence! Yay! More climbing I am far too down! πŸ˜‚ The fence is super flimsy though and there is no good place to put our feet! I find a tree and use the tree to climb over this fence easily! The reason why this is so funny is because Elder Mohler struggled a little bit more than I did! πŸ˜‚ He uses that same tree goes up the same way, I turn around to see how he is doing and looking at him I see he is in a freaking ball sitting on this chain linked fence!! It was a funny sight to see! πŸ˜‚ It was definently something you just had to be there for! It was really a good time!! We made it to our dinner on time don't you worry we just had to go through the jungle to get there! It was funny!! Well that was pretty much my week! We did a lot of service which was good! I love doing service so much!! Other than that not a whole lot to update on! Everyone is still doing good just putting along this game we call life!! πŸ˜‚ Well I love you all so much!! Talk to you all next week!! Remember the Church is True, The book is blue, Jesus loves you, and See you in 2!! (More like 4 Months!! πŸ˜‚) Alright anyways... LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUU!!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜˜  Love, ELDER LOGAN SCOTT :)

Coeur D'Alene, ID- Week #83

Hey Everyone!!! I want to start off with WOW!! Just Wow what a week this has been! There has been so much that has happened, so much to talk about and very limited focus and length on this letter so I'll get right into it and say everything that has happened! πŸ˜‚ There is a lot and its amazing!! To start off we found 5 New Investigators this week!! We have been at the right place at the right time and God placed really solid people in our path! Its been great! When I got to this area (Last week) we only had 2 On Dates... Never thought I would EVER be say ONLY 2 On Dates.. Miracles I tell you, πŸ˜‚ anyways we had 2 On Dates and now we have a total of 5 people On Date for Baptism!! ITS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!! πŸ˜‚ This is truly the Lords work and he will pull through! I can't believe it! Its a true testimony builder to me to see this all happening. My whole Mission I have told my companions, Districts and Zones that I've served in that if God really wanted to change the work in this part of the vinyard he will in a blink of an eye. Its all his work and he will not let the work die and let people slip through the cracks, I truly have seen it that God just decides to flip areas. I look at Five Mile and it took me 6 Months to get some solid investigators and some people On Date to be baptized, and now here in Coeur d'Alene I've been here for about a week and we just found 5 Investigators and 5 people On Date to be baptized!! πŸ˜‚ Its so cool to see this happening right in front of me! I am truly blessed!! I want to talk about a few of our New Investigators that we found. Starting with Jay. Jay is a really cool guy and he lives one floor above us in the apartment complex! We were getting dropped off at our apartment after District Meeting and he was taking out his Garbage... #GarbagefindsInvestigators!! πŸ˜‚ Anyways he turns around and asks us for some of our pictures of Jesus. (Red Robe Jesus if you all were wondering.. πŸ˜‚) We tell him of course we can so we go to our apartment get our pictures and we decide to take him a Book of Mormon while we are at it, cause why not he needs the Gospel as well.. πŸ˜‚ We go to his room to go drop off his pictures, We get talking and he is telling us that he is Catholic and that he has some Mormon friends, and that he goes to church 4 times a week. πŸ˜‚ Anyways we get talking and he lets us inside his apartment, to make a long story short and after 2 hours we leave his house with him as a New Investigator and On Date for Baptism for April 21st! πŸ˜‚ It was so weird the day that we found him was so weird, we felt like we were wasting a lot of time.. πŸ˜‚ We went to this Old Folks home to see if we could start doing service there. They say yes and we need to do this oreintation thing before we could start volunteering. This process included getting fingerprinted and gettting another TB Shot.. I was not down for that at all. πŸ˜‚ They also told us that we had to watch this video about HIPPA and the importance of keeping peoples privacy! πŸ˜‚ Anyways before we started watching this video we figured we couldn't volunteer there anymore...and if we couldn't volunteer why stay for this video. Elder Mohler and I had the impression to stay for the video. We did just that, dispite my wanting of getting outside and moving on we stayed for this video. πŸ˜‚ It ended up being a great video if anyone is wondering..πŸ˜‚ anyways we went home right after that and when we got home is when we ran into Jay! #AlwaysFollowSpiritualPromptings We realized that if we didn't stay for that video we wouldn't have run into Jay at that time. When we finished our lesson with Jay we looked at the time and realized that we were 30 Minutes late for another appointment with another Potential Investigator named Tammy... We end up bringing out the bikes to high tail to this lesson, because its like a 30 to 45 minute walk from our apartment...πŸ˜‚ We ride our bikes over there and we get there an hour after our appointment was supposed to start and knock on the door and Tammy tells us that she forgot about our appointment and that she had a friend over.. She tells us to hang on and ends up inviting us inside! Score!! πŸ˜‚ #GodProvides We go in and meet her friend Cindy we teach them the  Restoration and we put Tammy On Date for baptism on May 26th (We technically put Cindy On Date as well but she doesn't seem too down right now.. She said yes but we are going to give her some time.. Luckily she lives in this same apartment complex as Tammy! πŸ˜‚) From what we thought was wasting time turned out to be all apart of Gods plan. If we didn't stay for that video we wouldn't have met Jay, and if we didn't teach Jay which made us an hour late for Tammy's lesson, and if we weren't late for Tammy's lesson we wouldn't have met Cindy or even gotten in with Tammy for that matter. God works in mysterious ways thats for sure but he will never forget his children that he loves so much and he will provide a way for them. That is what I have come to learn since being here in the crazy resort town of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho! πŸ˜‚ Its been a crazy week chuck full of miracles and many more too come I'm sure! Thanks for following along and making it this far into this email!! I will get the hang of this whole email thing one day and it will be good! πŸ˜‚ I love you all so much and remember that Miracles NEVER Cease! God works in Mysterious ways, Always pet the Dog, and the Church is true, the book is also blue. πŸ˜‚ I'll talk to you all next week with more updates of my tales in the Mission field! Stay tuned! πŸ˜‚ LOVE YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!
Love,
ELDER LOGAN SCOTT :)

Coeur D'Alene, ID- Week #82

Logan saying goodbye to the Frank Family. His most favorite family in 5 Mile.

And the sweet goodbye gift they made for him of his "most used" quote

Hey Whats Up Hello?!?! What a week it has been!! What a week say!! It has for sure been one heck of one that is for sure!! Transfer Days are weird now! I probably already told you this already but, here you go you are going to hear it again! πŸ˜‚ We transfer on Thursdays now instead of Tuesdays! We find out our new area and our new companion on Monday Morning, and we don't leave until Thursday... NIGHT!! What in the world is going on here!! It was the weirdest thing. This week then I found out that I will be leaving to Coeur d'Alene on Monday and I continued to live life like it was normal until Thursday Morning, when it dawned on me that I haven't started packing... πŸ˜‚ well that is A ok right? Good thing we don't transfer until 5 O'clock that night! The other weird thing that was weird about this whole week thing, was that (This was still before I transferred to CDA) Since Elder Christensen (Bless his soul) went home early Tuesday morning cause he finished his Mission that meant we got to be in a Tripanionship for 2 days with Elder Jones in Shadle Park!! πŸ˜‚ that was pretty weird cause not only were we supposed to still proselyte, we worked both in Five Mile and Shadle Park! SO WEIRD!! πŸ˜‚Anyways that was a lot of fun! Doing that we saw a lot of miracles!! Thats what is going to be weird about this email is that I get to report on 2 different places! πŸ˜‚ earlier this week (While I was still in Five Mile) we had this solid lesson with an Investigator Elder Speckhard and I found last week or 2 weeks ago now I guess.. Anyways she is super solid!! Her name is Lucille if I didn't mention that yet.. πŸ˜‚ She had some court thing she had to go to for her house in Omack... (Some place in Washington I have no clue where that is...πŸ˜‚) Anyways she was reallly stressed about the whole court thing, so she started reading the Book of Mormon. What?!? Who does that?!? Going on she continued to tell us that she no longer felt stressed or nervous or anxious about the court case! NO WAY!!! πŸ˜ƒ That was so awesome to hear that! She continued to say that it was a good book and whatever she was reading and whatever is in that Book its really good! WOOHOOO!! Probably one of the best things that you could hear as a Missionary!! Then we taught her the Restoration and she said that it makes complete sense and that she believes it!!! Once again I will say it... NO WAY!!! πŸ˜‚ Also on that list of things Missionaries wants to hear! We invited her to be baptized and she said YES! Woot Woot!! Too bad she will be moving back to Omack (Still don't know where that is πŸ˜‚) here in the next few weeks.. We will be sure to get in contact with those dang Omack Elders because they now have a solid Investigator!! She agreed to continue to meet with us though until she moves back! YAY!!! Too bad I will not be there for them though... All the same work everywhere am I right?? πŸ˜‚ Then we worked in Shadle and put one of their investigators on Date too! For the same date Ray and Rose are on date for May 26th! WooHoo!! North Spokane is bumpin!! Then Transfers started to happen and then I had to make the runs around to members houses again to tell them goodbye.. For good this time maybe... Too bad they won't believe me they all tell me "Oh don't worry you'll be back here before you go home! You did it once who says you can't do it again!" πŸ˜‚ I love that ward so much and the members and I have grown so close together! I love them and I really consider them my family! To see the change that 5 Mile Prairie has gone through since I got there has been pretty amazing to look back on! I thank our Heavenly Father every single day for the blessing I've had to see it how it was and to leave it how it is now! I thank him as well for using me as an instrument in his hands to progress his work there forever! Without his divine guidence and his wonderful miracles he has blessed me with while I was there it would not have been as good as it is now! As Brother Frank, Elder Speckhard and I say "We just work here!" πŸ˜‚ Its him praise! I was just at the right place at the right time! I just love this work so much!! Anyways that was my early this week! Now Coeur d'Alene (9th AreaπŸ˜“) has been nothing but awesome!! πŸ˜‚ My new Companion Elder Mohler (19th CompanionπŸ˜“) is super awesome and we get along great!! Funny thing is that I already knew Elder Mohler from my time in 5 Mile!! πŸ˜‚ He was serving in Shiloh Hills funny enough and we met in the Francis Building together! We saw and talked to eachother a lot already! πŸ˜‚ Its been good and we have put a lot of work in this area already! Once again President has put me in a "Dead" or "Struggling" Area... Like we all already know is that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DEAD AREA!!! πŸ˜‚ I am so excited to get this area going! To have this ward excited and pumped up to do some Missionary work!! This is what its about! Having Faith in God that he can make some miracles happen! If we don't have faith he will give us miracles why in the world would he give us any?!? I don't know why either! We have already seen some Miracles! We have already put 2 people on date and still grindin to find people to teach! So far its working and we are finding some success already!! πŸ˜‚ This is the greatest work ever!! I love being a Missionary! This ward is going to be so awesome! Today at church the ward and I already have hit it off really good so there are more things to come, more miracles to see, and people to find, teach, and Baptize!! What a time to be a Missionary πŸ˜Š and to be living in this wonderful world at this time! Thanks for making it through this mile long email! Holy cow! I have a lot to say I'm sorry!! πŸ˜‚ I think that is all I have to say and update on! More things to come next week so stay tuned!! Remember I love you all so much, The Church is True, and the book is Blue, and better luck next year New England there is a new Champion in town this year! Way to beat them Philedelphia!! πŸ˜‚ I love you all so much talk to you all next week!! LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! πŸ˜˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ƒ
