Provo, MTC- Week #2

WHAT UP ALL MY HOMIES BACK AT HOME!!!!! Well this week has been awesome!! a whole lot of things have changed since my first week in the MTC!! But good thing this is my last P-Day here so I'm glad that I get to head out to the Field early early monday morning!! We got our travel Itinerarys for when we are supposed to leave for Washington!! So I found out that i get to check 2 bags on the airplane!! so i dont have to carry around any big bag when I go on the plane! just my nice not heavy whatsoever shoulder bag!! hahah im just so excited to get out there and teach everyone!! hahaha but back you know when i said "early early monday morning" i mean really early!! like we have to be at the travel office at 3:50 AM!!!! AM PEOPLE!!!!!! AM means morning for heavens sakes!!!! I might as well not even sleep on sunday night!!!!! But its all good I'm excited still!! but my plane doesnt leave til like 8:30 so i do not know what we are doing in between the hours of 3:50 and 8:30!! hahaha its weird that its already been 2 weeks!! time flies when you are working hard and i really believe that!! but here is a little experience that i had during the week! so I think it was Wednesday night i was sleeping you know minding my own business and then i had the worst dream ever!! The dream was that I was at Dinner "Eating my Foood" (my family will get that reference) but anyways our district leader (he just basically gets the mail) comes back with the mail and i got a letter! and in the letter it said "logan im sorry to tell you this but your family died this week.." and then i woke up!! that was basically the worst thing that happened!! Because lately a lot of my dreams have been coming true! So it was effecting me all day friday! Like i couldnt focus on anything my mind was just so worried on what was happening with my family back at home! But then i got into class and i decided that i was going to read my scriptures to try and get my mind off of it! but then my patriarchal blessing falls out of my Book of Mormon so i was reading it! and after i got done reading it i said a prayer and it wasnt a long one or anything just a very simple prayer. Then right after i closed my prayer instantly peace entered into my heart. And it legit felt like someone was hugging me and comforting me when i needed it the most. And i truly believe that was the comforter. the holy ghost. And soon after that a funny thought came into my head and that thought was about Jaret's Re-occuring dream about our family at the Layton Walgreens! (If any of you haven't heard that dream its pretty funny!!) but I think its just cool how the spirit works and how heavenly father just knows you and how to cheer you up! And I really know those things to be true! it was a real testimony builder for me! it really helped me through this week too! Oh and one last thing! last night when i was just chillin writing in my journal the freaking fire alarm in our residence hall went off!! it was the loudest thing ever i think i kind of pooped my pants a little!! hahahah just kidding!!! but it was the weirdest thing!! it was exactly one minute after we were supposed to be in bed!! so we ended up not going to bed til like 11!! (i know thats super late now!!) haha i just thought i would share that! because that was the most exciting thing that happened yesterday!! hahahah that is all i have!! (Trent AND josh will get that) hahaha well i just love being a missionary!! I'll hear from all of you next week!! Its been Real.... and its been fun... but it hasnt been real fun... First item of business this is kind of like a commercial so if any of you would like to write me during the week you can send me emails straight to me and ill get it that day!! but i cant respond to it until tuesday though! for as long as im in the MTC you can write me!! but its a website called dearelder.com and you go and make an account and i will receive your email that day in a legit physical letter!! i just think its kind of cool to get mail though!! hahaha so go on to dearelder.com and make one!! here is my address!! hahaha

So anyways back to the good stuff! Hello all of you lucky people that are in my sister Mckennahs Group message too! you all get to hear from her and me in the same week!! hahaha thats great im missing all of you already!! but im doing fine im kind of leaning to the feeling that this MTC is really kind of a prison! ill be straight honest!! but i just dont like being cooped up in a classroom all day it kind of hurts your head a little or maybe thats just me... hahaha BUUUUTTTT i found out that i leave out to Washington on August 1st!! Sorry Trenton thats 2 days before you get in... Im gonna miss you by that much buddy... But i think that youll love it more than i do!! hahaha But they all say that the last few groups has left at like 3 in the morning!! i hope thats not me though! hahaah anyways! My companion is named Elder Miner and him and i get along pretty well! we call ourselves the powerhouse companionship but thats just us! but we are dorming with 2 other elders and theyre names are Elder Hair and Elder Woods! They are some hilarious people but we give woods crap all the time because he has the tendency to lose things so Miner and i decided that throughout our stay here in this MTC that everytime he loses something we give him a tally on the board! We call it the "woods lost list" and i can tell you that there are so many tallys on that piece of paper and its only the first week! so its been good im loving the mission right now! but those first few days are so dang long!! that phrase just make it to sunday is so real!! making it to sunday really helps and i feel like the days are going a lot faster!! but its all good i only have 2 more weeks here it will fly by!! But yes i have seen Coleton, Luke and Aidan so many times already!! i for sure see Coleton and Aidan much more than i see luke! but its all good im glad to see familiar faces!! but i also saw my cousin maddi here too!! but i didnt think about i saw her we hugged and just the faces on all the other missionaries around was just hilarious!! but they had no clue we were family!! but that is all i have i think! but i promise my emails will be better as we go on throughout this mission!! hahaha But thats week one cant believe its over already!! welp see you all next week!!!  I love you so much mom! its for sure a weird thing right now! i still cannot believe that i'm here right now and its been like 7 days already! i'm starting to get used to the whole MTC thing! but its still kinda buggy but i'm trying to have the best attitude that i can about it! I just don't want to be in the MTC anymore i just want to get out to the field and preach the gospel! I know i know we have to be here and it would be good practice but it is good practice for sure but it kinda does feel like a prison though! But i find out I leave here August 1st!! thats just 2 days before Trent comes in though so thats sad,... but i do get to see tyler come in though but ill only be there with him for like 4 days i think but still its going to be awesome!! But yeah my companion is awesome!! his name is Kaden Miner and he is from Heber!! and we have really gotten along with each other easily! we have done a lot of teaching and everything but i think that we are really good i feel! but we teach our teachers and i feel like they should give us feedback on what we do good and what we do bad but they don't do that! and i just want to know how to get better! so you know i cant wait to get out into the field though! and our district is awesome! we have really grown to love each other a lot! it is made up of 8 Elders and 4 Sisters! we are split in the middle for missions for some reason 4 Elders and 2 sisters are going to each mission so half of us are going to Spokane and the other half is going to Ventura California! but there is a whole other district just like ours who split Spokane and Ventura down the middle for some reason! but i feel like the lord put us all together for a reason! We've all made each other stronger during the first week and my testimony has certainly grown for sure!! but in my room we have 4 elders in it and we are all going to spokane! so its me and miner, and Elder Hair and Elder Woods! those 2 guys are awesome! Hair is our district leader but he is pretty funny and chill though but woods is hilarious! i seriously have grown to love these guys already! woods honestly loses everything for some reason! so its gotten to the point where miner and i have taken a tally sheet on everything he's lost! its so funny! i still love them though!! hahah but sounds like Jaret and Ayden are doing awesome!! i want to see videos pictures anything!! keep me updated!! hahah Love you so much mom!! and now here are some pictures! :)

MTC drop off....

What a sad, happy day.  My friends call it MISERABLE JOY.  And that about sums it up. Logan has only come out of his shell these last 2 years. I do believe being a class officer has helped him with that in so many ways. When we went to drop him off, his last 10 minutes....he sat in silence (which is near impossible for him) staring off into the distance out the window. As I looked back in my rearview mirror I saw the 3 year old Logan wanting to hide behind my leg. I'll never be able to forget that face.

Be strong, be brave, be obedient my baby boy.

Love this boy and everything he is, and everything he is becoming. He has always been a good boy with his big smile, and gigantic heart. I will miss him. He will go and he will do, and he will do it well!
