Logan opens his call...

About 3 months before Logan received his call he had a dream of where he would be called to go.  He told me, and a handful of his friends that in his dream he saw his mission call paper and read the words Washington Spokane Mission.  He said he saw where his friends were sitting, and there was a cardboard cutout of a blurred out missionary that he held and took a picture with in his dream.

3 months later and ready to open his call the dream long forgotten we began to set up for his call opening. We decided for the crowd we were expecting and the nice weather we were having at the time to set up chairs and treats outside. Logan said he thought to himself, "Well this isn't right so my dream must not be true."  We finished setting up and about 40 min before people started to arrive I sent Logan in to take his shower.  Not even 10 minutes later the wind started to pick up and started blowing the map, and stuff on the treat table....and the farmer behind us also started to mow his lawn. So with 30 minutes to go, I had figured we better move stuff inside.

Logan came upstairs, sweetly surprised to see us setting up inside and upstairs. Feeling like it looked really familiar. And all that was missing was the cardboard cutout of a missionary. In his dream he figured it was his sister McKennah, and he knew we didn't have one of her, but seconds later in walks the parents of one of his very best friends the Skidmore's with a cutout of Ryan (see below). At this point Logan knew he would be serving 2 years in the Washington Spokane Mission.

Logan was so sure that when he was about to open up his call, and his friend Nick Giacalone yelled "WAIT!!, did you guess where you would go?" Logan said, "No!" And took a moment to slap his guess directly onto Spokane, Washington. I, too was confident enough in his dream to follow suit and place my pink arrow with the "KS" onto Spokane as well.

   What an awesome experience.
