Davenport, WA- Week #50

Well Hello my family, Friends, and other people that wanted to be on this wonderful group email!!!

This week was pretty great if I do say so myself!! On Monday we had a "Shorter P-Day" Because we were going to go to the Temple on Thursday (Spoiler I know!! Keep reading though!! 😂) Anyways after emailing on Monday we went bowling with our old BML!! It was awesome but I really suck at bowling if I am being honest!!! This homie was like a pro bowler way back in the day so he was bowling like 200 games every single game and here I am barely scrapping 100!! Hey though if anyone wants to start a bowling team I am your guy!! I would be more than happy to bowl competitively!  😂 Anyways nothing exciting happened on Tuesday!! We knocked a lot of doors and people don't want to talk! Or they yell at us that is about it!! I love it though bring it on!! 😂 We had Zone Conference on Wednesday!! We had it with 2 other zones so I got to see a lot of my Missionary Homies!! It was great!!

Back to the reason why we had a shorter P-Day on Monday is because they are allowing us to go to the Temple as a Zone (Something that we couldn't do before) They told us that we had to end P-Day would end at 2:30 then we were allowed to go to the Temple on Thursday!! The only thing that was different than the way we were doing it was that our P-Day was shortened... That is absolutely it!! I lowkey think its a joke...  😂 It was all worth it though!! Going with the Zone was awesome and it was pretty worth it!! Different but it was awesome!! 

Friday we had nothing going on! The YSA Elders came over to help us kind of blitz our area.... We had 2 of us way up North and the other 2 were way down south!! We blanketed our whole area it was pretty great!! No one can hide in Davenport while we were all down here! Take that people!! Saturday was pretty lame we still had nothing going on but we walked the town and talk to everyone!! Stinking people and their dang agency!! Too bad we can't take it away!! Wow that sounds like another plan...😂 Its all good I really love the people here so that makes it all worth it!! Well that is all I got here for you today!! Davenport, WA - Week #49

HELLLLLOOOOOOO Ladies and Gentlemen! Of all types! (Once again I got you Josh don't you worry!!) This week was probably a really slow week... We are running out of people to see and contact!!! 😂 Its pretty funny because we can go tracting but with these small towns everyone knows us!! They all know what we are about too!! We have this Branch Missionary his name is Sam and he is 16! He goes to School in Harrington and they just barely finished school this week! Which kind of sucks because we finished school in Utah like 3 weeks ago?? And to see the kids here just barely got out of school this week!! Man that sucks!! Then they get back into school the same time that we do in Utah!! That sucks even more!! Because they get out of school later and get back into school the same time we do!! So, that means shorter summer for them!! 😂 Anyways back to Sam! You know as I said he just barely got out of school and Elder Andrews and I were working in Harrington and I guess we were the Hot topic of the school that day!! Sam said that kids were coming around and telling him "Hey did you know the Mormons were here yesterday" or "I saw the Mormons walking around yesterday!" I thought that it was so funny because it was either we were the hot topic of the school for 2 reasons! 1. Its that everyone there loves us!! or 2. They were warning everyone in school to not open their doors because they saw the mormons are still around! Knowing the circumstances and how people usually are with Missionaries I would have to say that it is number 2!! 😂 I seriously love that you know!! It makes me feel so important and people do not want to talk to us!! We were going to see this LA family this week!! (this goes along with what I was just saying I promise!) we walk up to this door and we saw this lady and her family sitting in the Kitchen and living room when we walked up! She saw us walking up and she started moving her kids and motioning them to go into one of the bedrooms in the back! We didn't think much of it but we knocked on the door and they have the Gall..... The Guff to act like they aren't home!!!! I mean what the heck!!! I literally made eye contact with this woman and she acts like I am stupid and doesn't think they are home!! Come on people just come to the door and tell us you aren't interested or that you don't want to talk!! Don't act like you aren't home!! 😂 Well it was a good time and a good story to tell! 😂 Its all about the experience right?? 😂 We do this service at the Food Bank here in Davenport every Wednesday and there was this girl and her name is JoAnne! I think that is how you spell her name! She is super sassy and talkative and I didn't think much about the questions she was asking! She asked me for my name I told her Elder Scott and she got all mad that I told her my last name and not my first! With me if someone asks me for my first name I will give it to them but I won't respond to it if they call me it! Which they usually don't so that is good! Then she asked me what City in Utah am I from and I told her Syracuse (Because people usually ask that questions as missionaries you know?) But then she asked me if I went to Clearfield High! I was freaked out because no one knows about Clearfield High!! Little did I know is that she straight Facebook stalked me!! Which is ok I still didn't think much of it until we went to Dinner yesterday and our members knew about her!! And they told us that she has had the reputation of flirting and wanting to get with the Missionaries!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT DO YOU MEAN FLIRTING AND WANTING TO GET WITH THE MISSIONARIES!!! What have I done?!?!?! They told me that I fit her profile of the kinds of Missionaries she likes to go after!! I guess she likes the brown guys!! 😂 Well I am not too worried because we aren't going there next week and by that time its going to be transfers so ha ha and HA!! Well its all hood in the good!! 😂 Well Sundays has become the day we go to the church and ball up with the Apostolic Church kids!! Its a really a good time and Ball is Life!! Well that is all I got it has been a really good week!! I really love you guys all so much!! Talk to you all next week!! Oh and Happy Fathers Day DAD!! Love ya dood!!! Hope it was a good one!! Davenport, WA - Week #48

Wow time really does fly by when you are having fun!!! The work is good! I am good! Man life is just good right now in good ole Davenport, Washington!!! This week was awesome!! I at least had a ton of fun this week!! Right after we were done emailing last week for the rest of our P-Day we went to Downtown Spokane!! We went to Riverfront Park which is the must go place in Spokane I guess!! I have no clue that is what I have been told here! 😂 They have a huge Red Wagon, a really nice clock tower and a lot of statues around!! 

 😂 I just love being a Missionary! There is not a whole lot of work out here in Davenport so we are just going through our Ward list trying to find the LA and PMF (Less Active and Part Member Families) to see if we can get something from them! While we were going to one house we knocked on the door and the lady comes back to us and she yells at us "I don't care what you want or what you are selling I want you off my porch! And don't let the gate hit you on your way out!" *Slams the door Wow isn't that awesome!! I only have 2 years to get that type of attention from people!!! 😂 You would think with it being a small town they would know that we aren't salesmen, and also that we are not workers at Walmart!! That is the thing I've learned being on a Mission. Every single Monday when we go to Walmart to go shop someone always asks me where something is....COME ON PEOPLE!! When have you ever seen someone at Walmart dress like this!! At this point I am standing right next to a Walmart worker and I just nicely pass them off to someone that works there!! Man but again I won't get that attention back at home so I will gladly take it!! 😂 We had interviews with President and Sister Dymock on Wednesday!! I really love those 2! The interviews with them are always so nice and so helpful!! They really do care for us like we are their own children! Its awesome!! After interviews we went to this LA members house and we get up to her house and you will not believe what she has around her neck! I would give you all 3 guesses but I know you all would never guess it! She had a baby Kangaroo around her neck... Like What?!?!? A BABY KANGAROO?!?!? Who does that!! Again dumb Logan not getting his camera out and not taking a picture!! Man I can work on a lot of things!! But it was the funniest thing I have ever seen!! This lady gets calls from the rescue all the time asking if she can take in animals! She almost got a sloth!! Then when they went over to go get it. The people that had it said the sloth was gone... Yeah it was just gone so watch out there is a sloth on the loose here in Washington!! 😂 Then finally yesterday we were chillin in our car at the branch building and we were making calls and what not then all of a sudden these kids drive up and start ballin up! So I get out of the car and ask what we are playing! They said 1 on 1 so I asked if we could play some 21 and they gladly accepted thinking they could kick my trash! They were in the beginning I'll be honest! They tipped me back to 0 every single time I got to the line! But then all of a sudden I caught fire!! Josh can testify for my on fireness! Cough Cough 23 games in a row Josh cough cough 😂 Anyways I was just draining 3's and tipping people back to 0! It was so funny they had mad respect for me because I just kicked there trash in my white shirt and tie! They were some cool kids though!! Well that was my week! I hope you all have an amazing week!! Davenport, WA- Week #47

This week was pretty lame not a ton happened!! We did celebrate Memorial Day this week! I know we had a short week we did just barely email on Tuesday! Shorter week so thats all good!! We did do a ton of service this week!! We do service every single week on Wednesday at the Food Bank so thats pretty fun!! They give us free food so we can't complain!! 😂 Also we handed out water to all the people in Airway Heights because their water is contaminated! And it has been for the last month!! That seriously SUCKS!! No thank you I will not want to be getting contaminated water for the next month or so! That does not sound fun at all!!

Finally we did service for our Ex-Branch Mission Leader at his place! Which like in all of this Zone is in the middle of no where!! He just recently cut down some trees and he asked if we can come help move them to his property! He also added that his Less Active son was coming to help too! So of course we couldn't say no!! We went over there and these trees were pretty big!! But that doesn't matter the thing that happened though is my Ex-BML was carrying a log up and he ended up dropping it and it rolled down landed on my heel! That thing knocked me off balance and I fell into this bush and got all tangled up in some barb wire!! Needless to say I got cut up pretty bad!! Its all good Mom I am fine!! Nothing too bad! I wanted to get a picture but they thought they should get me out of the wire and get the cuts cleaned up before any picture was to be taken! LAME!! I missed out on that Kodak moment!! 😂 Well with Primary again we got to teach Primary on sunday...My goodness we taught the 4 year olds and they were going crazy!! We couldn't close the door because I guess its a rule that we can't be alone with some kids. I didn't know that so we had to keep the door open! They were running all crazy like through the church and rubbing chalk all over my suit man it was bad! We at least taught them about Abinadi and King Noah! So I call it a success!  😂 Moral of the story is don't teach the 4 year olds.. For those of you in this group email that teach them my prayers go out to you and I have now gained a whole lot of respect for you!! You are literally my hero going through that every sunday!! Well that is all I have for the week I hope you all know I love you all and hope you guys are doing good things out there in the dark and dreary world!! I love you all and I will talk to you all next week!! PEACE OUT!!
