Lewiston, ID- Week #37

Logan and Elder Moleff at the temple

This week was just AMAZING people!! Just awesome!! This most recent Sunday Elder Moleff and I had the great opportunity to teach Primary!! WOOHOO!! The kids are so solid though!! We taught the Valiant 10 class and holy cow do they know a lot!! We taught them the Organization of the Church and how the Church today is no different than the church that Christ himself set up!! Everytime we asked them a question they could answer it!! And they could also tell the back story with it too!! WHAT?!?!? I mean at 10 or 11 years old I didn't even read the Book of Mormon yet or even to know why I go to church!! And these kids can tell me the whole Joseph Smith Story and when the church was organized, and how many members had to be there, ETC. AND I JUST FREAKING LEARNED THOSE THINGS PLANNING FOR THIS LESSON!!! The kids are seriously the best!! That is why they say that the Primary is the secret weapon for the church!! It is because they are not scared to share and invite its so cool and awesome!! We also put 2 more people on date!! Their names are Corbin and Kaeden!! Corbin is 12 and Kaeden is 10!! We asked them if they wanted to be baptized on May 6th or the 13th and Corbin says "We want the 6th! So i can go to the Ward temple trip on the 13th!!" Wow isnt that awesome!! he knows what he wants and what is important in this life!! These kids have taught me way more than I could ever teach them!! They are just amazing!! It was such a great testimony building experience for me!! Well that was a lot of our week this week too! We didnt do a whole lot we had Zone Conference on Wednesday

 Lewiston, Idaho Zone

and then on Thursday we went to the Temple!! This week was chuck full of things and I was on a spiritual high this whole week!! GREAT WEEK I LOVED IT!! I love all of you back at home too thanks for all the support you give me every week!! Thanks so much!! I will talk to you all next week!!!

Lewiston, ID- Week #36

Nothing says Murica like a bald eagle in your front yard! Yeah!

Oh Hello! I didnt see you there! Its just me Elder Scott just chillin here in good ole Lewistank, Idaho!! Which is a pretty good place I would say!! This week was a really good week I would say!! So the reason why is that we officially have a person on date for Baptism!! WOOHOO YAY!! Life is really starting to pick up here! His name is Luke Gertje we found him or should I say he found us like 2 or 3 weeks ago! He was a referral from the MTC! We went to his house and taught him the Plan of Salvation! My companion didnt think that he was ready to be invited to be baptized!! Through out the lesson I kept getting the prompting to invite the guy to be baptized!! The worst he could say is no!! I took a leap of faith and just testified that I knew that everything we were teaching was true! And if he came to find out for himself if these things were true then I asked him if he would be baptized! He said of course without any hesitation!! My companion thought it was a fluke honestly... WHAT IS THAT EVEN SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!?!? We had a follow up lesson with him the next week and I followed up with him if baptism was still a thing he wanted to do! And again he said of course without any hesitation!! He even set the date up himself!! That was such a cool experience for me to have!! Also the last thing that happened this week is we got a new Bishop in our ward!! That makes it 3 for 3 for me in new Bishops in my area!! I just love it when I get a new Bishop! They have that "Greenie Fire" that everyone talks about!! He just depends on us and gives us a lot more work to do!! I just love the work and the chance that I have to serve!! I have just come to learn this week that the Lord really does prepare people!! With Luke happening and our new Bishop the Lord really does prepare the right people to do his work!! I just love to know that and I have a major testimony about that!! Even when we dont think that we are doing a lot of good work, we need to look at it from the Eternal Perspective!! We might not think that we are doing a lot but the Lord knows we are!! I just love that knowledge i have!! I love you all so much!! Thank you so much for all the support you give me throughout my Mission this far!! I love you all!! Talk to you all next week!!!

Lewiston, ID- Week #35

The Zone doing service at the food bank!!! Yep that is all corn flakes!! It was so awesome!!!

Hello my friends and family back at home or in the place around my homestead!! This week was a really different week!! It felt like it didnt even happen honestly cause it moved by so fast!! And also that i am in Lewiston, Idaho!! Thats just a minor detail!! Well we had stake conference this week!! And it was probably the greatest Stake conference I have ever been to!! Elder Brent H. Nielsen of the 70 came to speak to us!! It was so so good!! He basically told me everything that I needed to hear!! I have a major testimony of Obedience now!! Not just because my Mom sent me a Package and kindly telling me somethings that i could work on! She is my Mother so she has all the right to do it (Love you Mom!!) But yeah we met with Elder Nielsen right before Stake Conference on Sunday morning (Just with us Missionaries) But he basically said all that my Mom said too!! So not only did i hear it from my Mother (Who for some reason is just this all knowing wizard and she just knows everything!!) But i also heard it from a General Authority and man that is a literal stand in for our Savior Jesus Christ!! I know that God puts trials in our way because thats what we came to Earth for! Ask any Primary kid they would tell you the same things! Why did we come to Earth?? "To get a body and to be tested and tried!" So when trials come our way we lose our minds and wonder why God is doing this to us!! But isnt that the reason why we came to Earth was to be tested and tried? I just know that trials are here to help us!! I know that the trials I have gone through before the Mission and During my Mission i would not want to trade them back for anything!! They have really helped me become the man i am today!! Well God loves us and wouldnt put us through anything that won't make us happy in the end!! Well thats kind of what I learned this week!! And we also had 4 Elders living in our small apartment!! Let me tell you that was an experience for sure!! Well it was for sure a great week!! I love you all so much!! Thank you all for the support you've given me and the prayers!! I feel them for sure and I feel the love!! "Can you feel the looooovvvee tonight!!" Well that was a good Disney moment wasnt it!! Well i love you all!! Be safe dont be dumb!!! Peace talk to you all next week!!!!!
Much Love

"What do you mean a half?? Only in Lewiston i feel like!! If its elsewhere i have not seen it!!"

8 Months out and im still JC BABY!!!! Woohoo!!!

HEY MAMA!!!
I did get your package and i just loved everything in it!!! I am trying to get off the soda though...I feel like im just out of shape when i drink it so im trying to get off it!!! ðŸ˜‚ I will after these last 2 Mountain Dews of course!! ðŸ˜‚ But before i forget what is Yours, Dads (im sure his is Alma 48:17 but i dont know if it changed) Kennah, Ayden, and Jarets favorite Book of Mormon scripture?? I ask you because i know that you will get it done and you will respond and give me their answers!! So if you could find out yours and their favorite Book of Mormon scriptures that would just be awesome!! Thank you so much!! But no no no!! Your letter was not mean or sounded upset at all!! It was exactly what i needed to hear!!! Even though ive done it for only 3 days now ive already seen a difference!! I look back at my whole Mission so far and i just look at some of the pictures that i have taken and i could totally see what you were saying!! So the Jacket GONE the lanyard has been gone for a while but GONE! and ive just looked back at a couple of more things and i have just decided that i could give up a couple more things for my last 16 months!! Oh and a quick favor if you could find a Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat (the movie we used to watch all the time with Donny Osmond??) CD or songs can you please send them to me?? I've had them all stuck in my head for the longest time and I just keep forgetting to ask you about them!! ðŸ˜‚ you dont have to but i just thought i would ask!! because they are really catchy and i like their songs!! They are the best!! and it gets better, that they are approved!! ðŸ˜‚ So thank you so much!! Oh and the Penatonix "Go tell it on the mountain" too if you could do that you would be the best!! I dont know how thats going to work last time you sent me songs i had to find someone with itunes to get them on my ipod so i dont know what they will do if you send me a CD or something...I dont know you are always smarter than i am!! ðŸ˜‚ The spirit bowl looked fun (as always) did the Juniors or Seniors win?? (probs the Seniors cause they always win!! hahah) but the boys had so much fun still!!! AHHHHHHHH Ayden is running for SBO!!!! I am so excited for him to run!!! I want him to make it so so bad!!!! He will do so good!! I love his pictures!!!!!

Yeah Lewiston is starting to grow on me! And you're right I might not ever come back here again!! So I do have to make it count!! Thank you so much for all that you do Mom!! I always am asking for things and you are just awesome for listening to me and dealing with my crap!! I love you so so much Mom!! i love the pictures and the videos!! Thank you for keeping me in the loop!!

Love you so much!! Talk to you next week!!!!
Love your son

Lewiston, ID- Week #34

Logan, Elder Morse and the Sisters with their investigator Todd

Welcome to Hicksville! Yep you read that correctly ladies and gentlemen this is the capitol of where all the Hicks come from is good ol Lewiston, Idaho!!! There is a nice stench here that makes you remember it all!! Some fun facts about Lewiston is that everyone and their Mom drives a Truck!! So the mornings are pretty good i guess when they think that they are all that and just Rev their truck engine as they drive by our house!! Man its the best!! ðŸ˜‚ Lewiston is actually called Lewistank!! Like Spokane is actually called Smokane or Spokannibis!! Lewiston is called Lewistank because it freaking STINKS!!!! Yeah they have a paper mill downtown that just stinks up the whole city!! So thats nice!! So Lewiston is for sure a lot different!! And for those of you who know me really well know that i do not like change at all!! And this change was really different and ive kind of dreaded coming down to Lewiston my whole Mission and i knew i would for sure end up serving down here!! But its been a real experience for sure!! My former companion (Elder Morse) he served in this exact ward!! So you already know he gave me a big long list of people to visit and to see when i got down here!! The members here are just AMAZING!! They are so kind and awesome!! I just love them so much already!! The weird thing about this area is that the Church layout in the church we attend has the same kind of plans that the church i would go to back at home!! So after Church got out i was looking all around for my friends, My Mom and Dad and my car!! So it was a pretty disappointing realization but it was also really trippy too!!! So yeah we drive a Mini van for our car here but its just a car share with a couple other Elders in our district! So yep i told myself i would never drive a Mini Van in my life but i guess that throws that plan right out of the window because i am already driving a Mini Van and i dont even have a family yet!! Dangit!!! But yep im pretty excited to see where this area goes and how i can better this area before i leave!!! WOOHOO!! Lets go!! General Conference is also this transfer...Wow who knew that 6 months would go by so fast!! Sorry for the weird email that was kind of everywhere!! But thats just me you know?? Well i love you all so much thanks for all the support and love you give me throughout my Mission you are all the bomb.com!!! Love you all!! Remember Dont be Dumb!!! Love ELDER LOGAN SCOTT :)
