Lewiston, ID- Week #36

Nothing says Murica like a bald eagle in your front yard! Yeah!

Oh Hello! I didnt see you there! Its just me Elder Scott just chillin here in good ole Lewistank, Idaho!! Which is a pretty good place I would say!! This week was a really good week I would say!! So the reason why is that we officially have a person on date for Baptism!! WOOHOO YAY!! Life is really starting to pick up here! His name is Luke Gertje we found him or should I say he found us like 2 or 3 weeks ago! He was a referral from the MTC! We went to his house and taught him the Plan of Salvation! My companion didnt think that he was ready to be invited to be baptized!! Through out the lesson I kept getting the prompting to invite the guy to be baptized!! The worst he could say is no!! I took a leap of faith and just testified that I knew that everything we were teaching was true! And if he came to find out for himself if these things were true then I asked him if he would be baptized! He said of course without any hesitation!! My companion thought it was a fluke honestly... WHAT IS THAT EVEN SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!?!? We had a follow up lesson with him the next week and I followed up with him if baptism was still a thing he wanted to do! And again he said of course without any hesitation!! He even set the date up himself!! That was such a cool experience for me to have!! Also the last thing that happened this week is we got a new Bishop in our ward!! That makes it 3 for 3 for me in new Bishops in my area!! I just love it when I get a new Bishop! They have that "Greenie Fire" that everyone talks about!! He just depends on us and gives us a lot more work to do!! I just love the work and the chance that I have to serve!! I have just come to learn this week that the Lord really does prepare people!! With Luke happening and our new Bishop the Lord really does prepare the right people to do his work!! I just love to know that and I have a major testimony about that!! Even when we dont think that we are doing a lot of good work, we need to look at it from the Eternal Perspective!! We might not think that we are doing a lot but the Lord knows we are!! I just love that knowledge i have!! I love you all so much!! Thank you so much for all the support you give me throughout my Mission this far!! I love you all!! Talk to you all next week!!!
