Coeur D'Alene, ID- Week #81

Famous Totem Pole in 5-mile.  Logan finally made it there to take a picture

Hellllllllooooooooo people of Earth!! Well what can I say this week has been a crazy one!! A crazy one on all fronts!! 😂 It's been one of my favorite weeks ever on my Mission! We did a lot of good work, and we had a lot of funny stories that I can tell you all about! So with no hesitation let's get right into it! 😂 This week we found 4 New Investigators to teach!! What whaaaaaattt!! I know it was super awesome!! Believe it or not we found them all tracting pretty much... 😂 #Tractingworkssometimes so that was awesome! We have set appointments with them all this week and next week! 😃😂 I am so freaking excited!! Hard work really does pay off after all! 😂 Well we had this lesson this week one of our New Investigators Carolyn, and to be 100% honest it was thee weirdest lesson I have ever had!! We show up to this lesson thinking that she is a normal Potential Investigator, NOPE! Come to find out that her whole family is active, and that she was coming pretty actively for a while there, she even had a calling with the Boy Scouts, she also met with Missionaries in Seattle pretty regularly. 😂 The only reason why she isn't baptized is because her husband passed away recently, and that she had this really rare disease that basically just ate away her body. It has some technical/medical term that I can't remember... anyways what I'm trying to say is that she is an amputee. She wants to wait a second on going to Church, and getting baptized so she can get her Prosthetic leg. She wants to do it so that's awesome! 😃 The reason why the lesson was so weird because we wanted to teach her the Restoration, She remembers like all of It! When you ask her if she remembers this one thing she will say no, then you teach it and she is like oh yeah I remember and goes on to tell us about It! 😂 It was so weird and she wanted to get this lesson done fast and over with cause the guy that she is with (We aren't sure if they are married or not yet) does not like Mormons. He made that very clear to us when he came back inside! 😂 It was still super awesome the spirit was felt really well still and she is now On-Date for baptism on July 14th! 😂 The reason why it's so far back is because she thinks she will get her leg in the Spring. Just in case that doesn't happen though we put it in the summer! 😂 That lesson was just a testimony builder for me to know no matter how weird the lesson and how unprepared it turns out to be, the First Vision and a testimony can still bring the Spirit into a lesson so fast, it's amazing! 😃 That's Carolyn though, she is so awesome!! A really funny thing that happened this week was we were driving home and the other Elders in our District were dropping us off. Elder Speckhard has the SIM card for our phone in his phone. He forgets his phone in the car.. So that leaves us without a phone, and no connection to the outside world! 😂 We had no way of contacting them to have them come drop off our phone! I had the genius idea of practicing what we are teaching to these members here, the new referral system put out by the Church! My phone can't text or anything just emergency calls. BUT I do have an LDS Account and I type out this referral for the Shadle Park Elders telling them our phone is in their car and we need them to come drop it off! It ended up working!! 😂 FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD!! 😂 I thought it was thee funniest thing ever and I got those Missionaries hopes up with a New referral! It was too good, way too funny! I enjoyed myself! 😂 The next great item of business is that we finished Digitizing our Area Books onto our phones!!! YAY!!! #stillgetscreenheadaches #itsallworthit it's been a real trip and a half but we got it done! I am so happy! 😂 It was the coolest thing we found a new investigator 4 out of the 7 days we have to work! What a blessing we are blessed to see constant miracles from our Father in Heaven! I love this work so much. We had a really humbling thing happen to us last night. We were on the phone with our Ward Mission Leader and with Transfers coming up he wanted to tell us thank you. He tells us how much Elder Speckhard and I have changed this ward for the better, how much the ward trusts us, and the impact we have had on his own family. He told us that you might have not seen success with a baptism here. But you have had success within the ward with the members and within my own family.. He continued to tell us that the ward will always remember us and the good work we have done for them. It was so good and so humbling to hear that. I have been focused on bringing someone to the fold and getting them baptized. Little did I know I was helping out a ward change their view on Missionaries and helping Members there that were struggling, know that they are wanted and needed here. It was such great news to hear that.. I love it here so much! On that note with Transfers I am once again leaving my home in Five Mile Prairie.... 😣 I am going to the wonderful city of Coeur d'Alene. It's been the hype of the mission to go there. I am pretty excited to go and see where I am needed and what work I need to get done.. Weird thing is that this could very well be my last area on my Mission... it's probably not going to be though. We will see how this next transfer goes to decide that! 😂I am so excited to serve and do miracles! It's inspired that I am no longer needed here and I am needed elsewhere at this time! Being a Missionary is the best thing ever!! I love it so much! Well that is all I got for this week! Oh and one last thing we have a lesson scheduled with Cailin BeMiller (You have probably heard me talk about her here. Basically a dry Mormon) anyways we have a lesson scheduled with her for next Sunday!!!!!! Too bad I will not be there for that lesson!!! I am pretty bitter! 😂 I'll get over it though Elder Speckhard will baptize her hopefully! 😂 Thank you for tuning in for this segment of Elder Scott's Mission! Tune in next week to see how CDA is going! I love you all so much! Don't be Dumb! Be good and make right choices!! LOVE YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!
Love,
ELDER LOGAN SCOTT :)
Logan's 4th District he has lead.  Loved them all - said they had a great time. Logan and 2 others will be transferred this transfer though, so they are sad to go separate ways. Sister Ashton, Elder Christensen and Logan going to other zones.
